Meet the friendly staff at Monroe Road Animal Hospital!
Dr. Marty Davis was born in Lawrence, KS and raised in Louisville, KY. She did her undergraduate work at the University of Louisville and received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 1984. She completed a one-year internship in medicine an surgery at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1985. Her areas of special interest include geriatrics and glandular disease. She enjoys challenging cases and the team approach among the veterinarians in the practice to solve them.
Dr. Widay was born and raised in Syracuse, New York. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 1989 and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. She joined Monroe Road Animal Hospital and became a partner in the ownership of the practice in 2004 Dr. Widay enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, especially surgery.
Dr. Breckwoldt was born in Brooklyn and raised in Goshen, New York. Much of his youth was spent exploring the streams and woods behind his house in search of snakes and salamanders. Russell attended the University of Massachusetts and graduated cum laud with a BS in wildlife biology in 1984. He received his master's degree in parasitology from the University of Georgia in 1987 followed by his doctorate of veterinary medicine in 1991.
Michelle Ray, our Hospital Administrator joined the staff in 1992. She began her career in animal care and quickly moved to the technical arena. In 2004, she was promoted to the hospital administrator and is responsible for overseeing the financial, marketing, purchasing and day-to-day operations of the facility.
Alvaro Castro our technical team supervisor joined the practice in 2006. He was raised in Colombia South America and spent most of his weekends at the family farm around numerous animals, where he developed a passion for caring for them. Alvaro is a 1998 Foreign Veterinarian graduate from the University of Tolima, Colombia He also earned an online diploma in medicine, surgery, and animal science from University Autonoma Mexico in 2013 and is currently enrolled in the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduate program through the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Chris Graham joined the practice in 2012. He has had a passion for all animals since he was very young. In 2011 he earned a degree in Zoo Animal Technology from Santa Fe College in Gainesville, FL. He is also the adoption coordinator at Monroe Road Animal Hospital and takes great pride in finding homes for our stray cats and dogs.
