Meet The Doctors:

Dr. Marty Davis was born in Lawrence, Kansas and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She did her undergraduate work at the University of Louisville and received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 1984. She completed a one year internship in medicine and surgery at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1985 and purchased Monroe Road Animal Hospital in 1986. Her areas of special interest include geriatrics and glandular diseases. She enjoys challenging cases and the team approach among the veterinarians in the practice to solve them. When not busy at the practice, she enjoys fun with her four growing children, Erin, Dana, Charlotte and Savannah. The family also consists of many pets including a vast array of dogs, cats, horses and reptiles. Dr. Davis is an avid reader and enjoys crochet and walking. |

Dr. Marjorie Widay was born and raised in Syracuse, New York. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 1989 and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. She and her husband Russell, who is also a veterinarian, were married in May of 1994. They have a son, Alex and a daughter, Madison. She enjoys gardening, cross-stitch, reading and spending time with her family. Dr. Widay, who is also a partner in the ownership of the practice, enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine. |

Dr. Kathy Kramer, was born in Clinton, S.C. and grew up in Atlanta, GA. She graduated from the University of Arizona and received her veterinary degree from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to joining our staff, she worked in Statesville, N.C. Dr. Kramer has a special interest in exotics, geriatrics, alternative medicines, such as acupuncture, and feline internal medicine. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Feline Practitioners and the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management. She and her husband Alex reside in Charlotte. They share their home with cats Lucy, Eddie, Vonnegut and Kippy (who thinks he's a cat). |

Michelle Ray, our Hospital Administrator joined the staff in 1992. She began her career in animal care and quickly moved to the technical arena. In 2004, she was promoted to hospital administrator and is responsible for overseeing the financial, marketing, purchasing and day -to-day operations of the facility. Michelle has been a licensed wildlife rehabilitator since 1993, and shares her home in the foothills with scores of wild animals in various stages of rehabilitation, waiting for release back into the wild. |
